The rating scheme “Wellness Danmark” was established in order to ensure the best possible wellness experiences for you. The rating scheme was initiated by the association “Aktiv Danmark”, which was founded by VisitDenmark and a range of other Danish organisations and tourist industry associations.

In order to obtain this rating, the service provider must fulfil certain very specific requirements. Amongst other criteria, the service provider must offer a clean and welcoming wellness area featuring a spa/jacuzzi, sauna or steam bath as well as a section offering various body treatments through professional treatment providers. Such treatments must be carried out by qualified massage therapists, beauty therapists and other trained staff members, and the atmosphere must be welcoming and relaxed.

In addition, a selection of healthy and inviting food and beverages must be available for consumption either on-site or in a nearby restaurant. ”Wellness Denmark” members offer indoor/outdoor relaxation and sitting areas as well as non-smoking areas, which makes it worthwhile looking out for this purple quality label.
