Ecology is good for nature and healthy for humans. The number of organic farms in North Jutland has risen considerably – many more are on their way, and the sale of organic produce has doubled. Slowly, but surely, consumers have begun to choose organic products.

Visit the organic farms
Many of the organic farms are open to visitors. Most of them are small or medium-sized. But there are also organic estates and manor houses, offering conducted tours, cafés and farm shops. They are exciting places, with non-traditional ways of living where you will have ample opportunities to see ecology at work – often in very scenic settings.
Organic restaurants Most towns have one or more restaurants which serve organic food. The tourist offices can direct you to them. But in the countryside, too, there are attractive organic places to eat.
Eating out
There are plenty of good restaurants availble to you while on holiday in North Jutland: restaurants with stars, cosy family restaurants, and of course a rich variety of etnic restaurants. You should not miss the Danish speciality Smørrebrød - the famous open sandwhiches - which are served with much pride around lunch time.
