In the surrounding area you will find woodland in which there roam a number of deer, extensive dune areas where you can pluck a number of different sorts of berries, water holes and their bird-life, and the west coast’s best bathing beaches.
In the summer months when the town’s population grows to accommodate the many visitors it hums with life and events. As well as sun, sand and kilometre long beaches there are a number of interesting shops including a candle-maker, traditional sweet maker, artisans, cafés, restaurants, a disco and a range of general stores and places to stay.
Vorupør beach deserves a chapter all of its own - white, wide and inviting as far as the eye can see with the blue flag standard underlining the quality of the water. People tend to congregate where the boats land. Here you can also enjoy a seaside sunset and if you are an angler you can catch your dinner.

Vorupør is one of the few places left in Denmark where coastal fishing still thrives and this gives the town a charm all of its own. Visitors can buy fresh fish directly from the fishermen or from Fiskercompagniet’s shop.
If you visit Vorupør Museum you can find out how the boats are brought up the beach, and learn about the history of Vorupør. Visitors to Vorupør Naturcenter and the North Sea Museum can also discover the flora and fauna of the west coast of Jutland and the North Sea.
