22th - 28th of May 2012 Carnival in Aalborg
Every year at the end of May, Aalborg turns into one big dress-up party, hosting the largest folk carnival parade in northern Europe with around 25,000 participants and 100,000 spectators. www.karnevaliaalborg.dk

The "Skaldyrsfestival" association invites you to enjoy the maritime delights of Nykøbing Mors at the Shellfish Festival. 2 – 3 June 2012 Bangsbo Flower Festival

23 June 2012 Lindholm Høje Viking Market, Nørresundby

22 - 24 June 2012 Tordenskiold Days 2012, Frederikshavn "Tordenskiold Days - The year is 1717" is a historic festival with 1,000 actors and extras. Fladstrand is buzzing with activity. Soldiers are swarming the camps around the Krudttårnet powder magazine. At nightfall, the cannons sound and the large historic pageant at the harbour starts. The area at the Krudttårnet takes history back more than 300 years and is teeming with soldiers, women and children dressed in 17th century costumes. www.tordenskiold.dk

3 July 2012 100 years jubilee concert featuring Aalborg Symphony Orchestra at Rebild
The concert’s first part is a musical journey where the audience can look forward to listening to music by great, Danish composers and the symphony orchestra plays melodies from some of the wonderful, American musicals. The second part will be the 9th Symphony by the Czech composer Antonin Dvorak subtitled “From The New World”. Dvorak composed this wonderful orchestral work during his stay in the US in 1893. www.aalborgsymfoni.dk

4 – 7 July 2012 Nibe Festival
The Nibe Festival is held in Skalskoven, Denmark’s “perhaps” most beautiful festival area. During the days and nights of the festival, some 100 concerts are presented on five different stages: Large Scene, Blue Scene, Rock Town, the Reservation and the Jazz Cave. 5 – 8 July 2012 Skagen Festival
Come enjoy the atmosphere and the many fabulous bands from Denmark and abroad which all add a special touch to the festival. 6 – 8 July 2012 Viking Days on Læsø
The island of Læsø is the obvious venue of a Viking market And the actual site where the Vikings of the distant past had their harbour and village on Læsø. So the Vikings meet again to make a bargain with people from far away and the locals. 13 – 15 July 2012 Løgstør Mussel Festival

14 – 22 July 2012 Medieval Days at Voergaard, Flauenskjold, Dronninglund

Witness medieval life at the Voergaard manor house of the Bishop, Stygge Krumpen, in the year 1533. Craftsmen and traders offer their goods for sale while nuns and monks are heard singing. Mercenaries are training for combat, visiting musicians and performers are showing their arts while the food is cooking on the barbecue and the bread is being baked for the Bishop’s table. www.middelalderdage.dk
